Rusty Douglas has played drums since around the age of five, although he thinks of himself as a guitarist. He has studied various philosophies, theologies, Spiritualities, musicalities and endeavors to live in a Wabi-Sabi kind of way.  Since early childhood, Rusty has had a fascination with the beauty of old barn wood, rusted metal, stone, creek bottoms, forest floors, Autumn foliage, night skies and all aspects of nature which reflect passage of time in color and tone as does music.

Rusty combines painting, pottery, woodwork, geology, the culinary arts and story-telling to create a new/old kind of instrument, one which makes a statement and catches the eye on stage as well.
